A tragic motorcycle accident in Tuscarawas County on Sunday evening has claimed the lives of a husband and wife from Uhrichsville. Authorities with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are actively investigating the fatal crash, which occurred on U.S. Route 250 near mile post 13 in Goshen Township.

The incident took place shortly after 8 p.m., when 47-year-old Keith A. Morris was traveling eastbound on U.S. 250 operating a blue 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle was pulling a camper trailer, and his wife, 44-year-old Jill L. Morris, was riding as a passenger.

According to investigators, the attached trailer began to sway, causing Keith Morris to lose control of the motorcycle. The bike overturned and slid off the right side of the roadway. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but Jill Morris was tragically pronounced dead on-site.

Keith Morris sustained critical injuries and was initially transported to Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital. He was later airlifted to Akron General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The crash drew a significant emergency response, including personnel from the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, New Philadelphia and Dover Fire Departments, the Tuscarawas County Coroner’s Office, and towing assistance from Jim’s. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The sudden and devastating loss has left the Uhrichsville community grieving as family, friends, and neighbors remember the couple. Keith and Jill Morris are being remembered for their warmth, love, and shared passion for travel and adventure.
