It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the untimely passing of Amy Nicole Bellas, a radiant young woman whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Amy passed away unexpectedly at the age of 22, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and joyful energy that will be cherished forever by her family, friends, and community.
Born on July 1, 2002, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Amy was raised in Upper St. Clair, where she blossomed into a remarkable daughter, sister, and friend. From an early age, it was clear that Amy was a special soul—graceful, intelligent, and full of warmth.
Her smile had a way of lighting up every room, and her kindness radiated in every interaction. Those who spent time with Amy were drawn to her magnetic personality, generous heart, and her natural ability to make others feel seen and valued.
Amy was a proud graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. A devoted student with a passion for learning, Amy was admired by both her professors and peers for her academic dedication, perseverance, and genuine empathy.
Her dream was to pursue a career in healthcare, where she could use her talents and compassion to serve others—something she had been doing in countless ways long before receiving her diploma. Amy’s potential was limitless, and her future was one of great promise and purpose.
Outside of the classroom, Amy lived life with unmatched vitality and passion. She had an adventurous spirit and found joy in many activities, including dancing, skiing, swimming, and jiu jitsu.
Whether she was gliding across a dance floor, carving through snow-covered slopes, or training at the gym, Amy approached everything with enthusiasm and determination.
Her discipline was inspiring, and her laughter was infectious. She was not only passionate about her own goals but also encouraged those around her to chase their dreams and embrace life fully.
At the heart of Amy’s life was the love she shared with her soulmate, Trevor Stuart. The bond between them was one of deep affection, mutual respect, and true companionship.
Trevor, whom Amy lovingly referred to as her “Gentle Giant,” brought immense happiness and peace to her life. Their love story, though cut tragically short, remains a beautiful testament to the strength and purity of their connection.
Amy is survived by her loving parents, Bob and Sandy Bellas, whose unwavering support helped shape her into the incredible woman she became. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Kate Elizabeth Bellas, with whom she shared a close and unbreakable bond. Amy’s extended family and countless friends will forever remember her as a guiding light, a loyal friend, and a young woman of extraordinary character.
To celebrate Amy’s remarkable life, friends and loved ones are invited to a visitation on Thursday, June 5th, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 6th at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Amy’s memory to the American Red Cross at www.redcross.org, an organization that reflects Amy’s lifelong passion for helping others. Amy’s spirit, love, and light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
